The biggest sector we rank: 154 banks, insurers and asset managers drawn from 26 of the 30 indices on the site (measured 30 August 2026). Ranking them against each other rather than against the whole market is the entire point here — a bank's price-to-book carries meaning that a software company's does not, and twenty of them trade below book. One caveat worth knowing: Yahoo reports no gross margin for most banks, so that column is blank rather than zero and takes the median rank instead of the last one.
